INTERACTIVE GRAPHICS MODULE
To run this module, you must have an Internet connection and Flash player, as well as an Internet browser.
You must have one of the following Internet browsers to run this module. Explorer, Safari or Netscape.

This CD will run on both PC and Mac:
Microsoft Windows Users
Your computer should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Windows 2000 or XP operating systems
- 64 MB RAM
- 800 x 600 pixels or greater screen resolution
- 256 colors or greater
Instructions
1. If your system does not support auto-run, click on the Start button on the desktop.
2. Select the CD-ROM drive.
3. Double-click the START.htm icon that appears on the CD.
Macintosh Users
Your computer should meet the following minimum requirements:
- MAC OS 10.2 or later operating system
- 64 MB RAM
- 800 x 600 pixels or greater screen resolution
- 256 colors or greater
Instructions
- Insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
- Double-click on the CD icon on your desktop.
- To launch the Interactive Graphics Module in Internet Explorer, double-click the START.htm icon that appears on the CD.
- To launch the Interactive Graphics Module in any other browser (i.e., Netscape or Safari), drag the START.htm file icon that appears on your CD to the application icon. When the application icon is highlighted, release the mouse.
Using the Interactive Graphics Module
- Click the titles at the top and bottom of the Main Page to view different sections of this CD.
- Click the images next to graphics descriptions to see the corresponding interactive graphic example.
ADDITIONAL EXERCISES
CH6BASEMAP: The base reference map needed for the Chapter 6 exercise is located in the CH6BASEMAP folder. Import the MAP.jpg file into your illustration program of choice, and follow the directions provided at the end of Chapter 6 in the print text to create your locator map.
ILLUSTRATION TEMPLATES: Illustration templates are provided for use by students and instructors for in-class illustration workshops. Instructors can find directions for these workshops in the Instructor's Manual, available through Focal Press.
The Instructor's Manual can be accessed online. Instructors should visit http://textbooks.elsevier.com, and register as an instructor (if you have not already done so). Then, request access to the MEDIA TECHNOLOGY subject area.
